Is my food recalled? Search FDA food recalls
How it works: type a product or brand (for example "cinnamon" or "string cheese"), the UPC under the barcode, or a lot code. We search 2987 FDA food recalls reported since November 2024. Recalls cover specific products, lots and dates, so compare the details with your package.

If your food is on the list
- Compare the brand, product name, size, UPC and the lot code or best-by date on your package with the recall. Recalls usually cover specific lots or dates, not every package.
- If your product matches, do not eat it. Return it to the store for a refund or throw it away, as the recall notice says.
- If you or someone in your family feels sick after eating a recalled food, call your doctor and say which product it was. Get emergency care for severe symptoms.
- Report a problem or illness to FDA through the Safety Reporting Portal (safetyreporting.hhs.gov). For meat, poultry and egg products, call USDA at 1-888-674-6854.
